I believe many of you guys have heard of “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time” (時をかける少女 Toki o Kakeru Shōjo). For the benefits of those who haven’t, I’ll do a wiki copy-and-pasta (paste) ^^;

The story is about a girl, Makoto Konno, who’s attending high school in Tokyo, and gains the power to go back in time and re-do things by time-leaping when she gets involved in an accident at the train crossing one day.
Makoto uses her new powers to avoid being tardy (e.g Late for classes) to get perfect grades on tests, but soon realizes that her actions can affect others, and often in a bad way.
When the film was released on the internets, I didn’t really take interest in it. No idea why though ^^; But after catching it in the cinemas yesterday (It finally got shown here T O T), I realized that it is actually a rather good film. There was a nice mixture of entertaining and sad parts, which was brilliantly expressed using Makoto. Her numerous but futile attempts to change the way things were supposed to happen. Undoing blunders isn’t exactly Makoto’s forte, but she manages somehow.
It is indeed a powerful film, being able to evoke emotions through simple methods and characters that we are able to relate to, I believe you should catch this film at the cinemas now!
Another reason to watch this film is for Miyuki Konno, Makoto’s younger sister ^^;
Now I am waiting for a Makoto Shinkai’s film to be shown over here.
