Little Busters! Game Merchandise Review

I did promise to do a merchandise review on Little Busters! and here it is! It won’t be a comprehensive review but just one that basically covers what is included in the package and all.

First up, the goodies. Starting from the top left, going in a clockwise direction. We have the User’s Manual, Chirashi (チラシ), Little Busters! Game box, Technical Manual, Little Busters! album, Game DVD, Semicrystalline. (An arrange album that comes released with the limited edition) and finally, the Visual Guide Book.

\Semicrystalline Album/

The Semicrystalline. album consists of ten tracks, out of which eight are background music from the game while the remainder are the remix versions of “Little Busters!” and “Faraway” which were originally featured in their Little Busters! album (Why does their album have the same name ORZ. It’s confusing)

There is also a booklet in the album which contains the lyrics and a very nice 2 page spread of Komari. Do hope there’s a poster based on this spread ^^;

Here’s the main feature of the post, the Visual Guide Book.

The Visual Guide has been divided into 7 individual chapters, each covering different parts of the game. Here’s a breakdown of each.

– Characters
– Background CGs
– The Art Exhibition of Little Busters!
– Publication
– 恭介の一問一答 (Kyousoku’s Individual Question and Answer section)
– Staff Room
– Music Room (Lyrics of a couple of songs)

The character chapter does a brief coverage of the main characters that appear in the game. The girls get more coverage ^^;

 Each character page has been detailed with the character’s personality, their height, weight, 3 sizes (Wonder why they need those ^^;) and a staff comment. On the right are accompanied by shots (Both in color and lineart) with the characters in them. There’s also a comment (Translated to English as well) following each picture.

A bit of “Engrish” there

\The Art Exhibition of Little Busters!/

The Art Exhibition was held at 2 locations, first over at Osaka (May 3 & 4) and then followed by Tokyo (May 24 & 25). A large amount of of the character and background art featured in the game was showcased, along with original art used to promote the character artwork, and other production sketches drawn when the game was still in development.

There was also a life-size mannequin of Rin Natsume with a baseball glove. Real crazy stuff.

For more pictures, you can take a look at blog which has some coverage on the event <Link

The page alot of fans have been waiting for! This chapter contains all the delicious moe pictures of the characters! *nosebleeds*

It features the character artworks that have been published in various magazines, including Dengeki G’s Magazine (On a more noticeable note), Push!, Megami, Dengeki Hime, Little Busters! Catalog.

The photos taken have been given a +10 Brightness and Contrast lift as it was just a bit dark. And do ignore my fingers, I used them to hold the book down.

  ^ Icie <Link> would definitely like more pictures of her ^^;

There isn’t much to cover as there isn’t anything to cover ^^; The remainder is actually just the Chirashi of Kanon’s DVD reservation and information on CLANNAD roadshow’s on September 15 (Do hope I can catch that one).

And oh! Here’s a telephone card that I got together with the box. It’s a Gamer’s only special I think. Would like to thank my friend Kiddokenshin <Link> for queuing up and getting the game for it. Heard there was a very long queue. What left is to return him the money for the game ^^;

And if you’re wondering if it was a good buy, I can’t really comment for now as I have yet to finish the game (Barely started even due to exams in a few days). But what I can say is that if it is something that you desire and got it, you shouldn’t be to nitpicky on it’s quality ^^; Just my thoughts.

For those who like to purchase the game can use Amazon JP. For those shipping to Singapore can use vPOST Japan <Link> to get it delivered.

  1. In the poll, there’s no “Want the game but is too piss poor to get it” LOL I’d love to buy it along with the visual guide book TT__TT ITARU HINOUE FANATIC!!

  2. @Danny Choo: そうです。なんだか まるで 「萌え天国」みたいじゃない。

    @CherylHew: Didn’t think of that! The visual guide book comes along with the game, so you have to buy the game ^^;

    @Zeroblade: Heard the same thing too but this is my first KEY game so I’m not so sure.

    @Adun: You have to play the games! It’s a must! ^^

    @alafista: Do hope I can do that, but it would take some time before I actually finish the game.

  3. can there be an option “want to buy the game” in the poll? Looks good the stuff in the box this is the normal version i presume? might get a copy when i get back home but not be able to play since i dun know japanese so, i like the artbook though

  4. Hey there this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if
    blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
    I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with
    experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  5. Hello! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile
    friendly? My site looks weird when browsing from my
    iphone 4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be
    able to resolve this issue. If you have any recommendations, please share.

    Appreciate it!
