^ You are (not) alone
Was over at this year’s End-Of-Year cosplay event over at Singapore Expo. I was there taking photos of the cosplayers.
Pictured above was what I would say the most distinguishable cosplay in the whole event. I caught sight of her coming up the escalator when she first arrived while I was heading down for lunch over at Burger King.
In other words, her cosplay was totally in sync with the character!

<Very Picture Intensive Post>
The selection of photos here are filtered from the 400+ photos I’ve taken. Have added a number list to each photo as I need you guys in helping me in identifying some of the cosplays. Am too out of touch ^^;
I arrived at around 12-ish in the afternoon, paid the entrance fee and found the booths my friends were at and quickly unloaded my bags with them. Grabbed my camera and started shooting.
Not much commentary for this post. Just enjoy the pictures!

This Gundam is totally awesome. Everyone was crowding around the cosplayer while he was preping his Gundam suit and clapped when it was done.

6 Konatas in total! This is too much! They even did the “Motteke! Sailor Fuku” from Lucky Star!

The cosplay pictures featured here are just a few of the whole lot that was there on Saturday. There were simply too many of them to follow. I realized that this year’s cosplay has improved a lot more as compared to last year’s. There seem to be more variety this year and also the rise in the quality and details of the cosplays.
This year’s EOY has also left me lusting to take more photos. I did feel that 400+ shots wasn’t suffice for the whole duration I was there.
\Photography Notes/
Used an Canon EOS 400D together with a rented EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM and a Speedlite 430EX. ISO varies from 200 – 400.
I would say I thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures of the cosplayers. Each shot was a different experience. Do wish to go for more photoshoots in the future in order to further my photography skills.
Am also looking to invest in a 580EX MKI (Not the MK II) as a next equipment to my EOS 400D. Anyone willing to donate? ^^;

Great looking pictures, the neko girls are very kawaii. The details in the outfits are outstanding and are on par with what I see in Japan, perhaps even better in some of the costumes I see; like the Trinity Blood group. Btw, the gundam will totally pwn the soldier lol. The girl in black in picture number 24 is pretty cute ;p.

Crap I missed this year’s EOY cosplay. (T_T) OH and isn’t no.25 bleach? I have not watched bleach for a long time now but it should be them.

i can’t imagine so many cosplayers everywhere though lol.
There were just too many Konatas and not enough Kagamis.
That said, I still want that 1-for-1 scale of Konata. lol

@Stifler: There wasn’t any Kagami(s) :( Yeah, would like that 1-for-1 scale Konata… but it would be even better if it was Kagami ^^;
Maybe you should create a gallery and dump all your photos in there for your readers’ viewing. That way, your post would not kill dial up readers, if there are any who still use it.

The document size of the post is about 4.6MB… Kinda on the high side.
Would have wanted to use smaller thumbnails but I didn’t want it to affect the quality of this post.

Youre so appropriate. Im there with you. Your blog is surely worth a learn if anyone comes across it. Im fortunate I did because now Ive received a whole new view of this. I didnt realise that this concern was so necessary and so universal. You certainly set it in viewpoint for me.
